Southern Maryland has a huge variety of wild plants that can be foraged for food and health benefits. Discover what plants are growing wild in this area, and how to safely identify, harvest, and use them for food and health. Learn the nutritional power of common “weeds” and how tasty they can be in a variety of culinary preparations. The workshop will include a demonstration of easy ways to prepare these tasty treasures and tastings of a variety of wild food dishes and drinks.
Come prepared to walk fields and woods to gather and learn.
All materials included: teas, wild food tasting, recipes, and gift of a wildcrafted product.
Workshop is held on the grounds of historic Ravens Crest.

All retreats and workshops are held at Raven’s Crest in Newburg, MD. Unless noted, they are held rain or shine. There are no refunds once purchased but you can transfer it to a friend. If the minimum participants is not reached, the workshop will be cancelled at least a week in advance and you will be refunded in full. Once the maximum is reached, then the event will be removed from the page for purchase. After purchase, you will receive details including street address and a pre-retreat questionnaire so we can tailor the experience to the participants and get food or other preferences. We welcome any questions you may have before or after purchase.
