Southern Maryland has a huge variety of wild plants that can be foraged for food and medicine. Discover what plants are growing wild in this area, and how to safely identify, harvest, and use them for food and wellness as we walk the beautiful grounds of Ravens Crest. Learn the nutritional power of
common “weeds” and how tasty they can be in a variety of culinary preparations. The workshop will conclude in the kitchen for a demonstration of easy ways to prepare these wild treasures and tastings of an abundance of wild food dishes and drinks.
Come prepared to walk fields and woods to gather and learn.
All materials included: drinks, wild food luncheon, recipes, and gift of a wildcrafted product.
Workshop is held on the grounds of historic Ravens Crest.
