Satyam, Founder and Lead Instructor of Renaissance Yoga, will gently guide you through a morning meditation with ample scope for self-exploration and reflection, and the afternoon will offer a yoga session suitable for all levels to facilitate physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual renewal.
Holly Dunbar, Licensed Massage Therapist and Herbalist, will offer a dynamic presentation on how herbs and essential oils can heal the body and re-center the mind. You will learn how herbs, that can be grown in your backyard, can be used in teas, foods, topically, and through aromatherapy. You will create your own personalized aromatherapy product to take home.
Tuition includes all workbooks, seminar materials, a healthy lunch and nourishing light fare to fuel you throughout the day.

Dr. Gwen holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She is a successful entrepreneur, published author, multi-term elected council woman and host of the Life on Your Terms podcast. She went from being a high school dropout with dormant dreams and a GED to allowing herself to dream big, achieve a PhD and a commitment to live life on her terms!
Her passion for helping others “wake up” led to the creation of her podcast, Life on Your Terms ~ Powered by Your Inner Compass. She interviews individuals successfully living in alignment with their passions, purpose and values. Through this effort, she has uncovered the many gems we can all embrace to create a life on our terms.
Dr. Gwen created the 7L Framework, a step-by-step process designed to help you tap into your inner compass, become emboldened to claim and create the life you desire and achieve your dreams! Dr. Gwen teaches the 7L Framework at retreats in the U.S. and the Bahamas.
Satyam, the founding director and lead instructor of Renaissance Yoga, pursued and completed his yoga teacher training in India. During his many years of ashram life, Satyam spent large tracks of time studying one-on-one with his yogacharya. Satyam’s initial interest in meditation grew over the days, months, and years into a holistic lifestyle based on the principles and tenets of yoga. He has led dozens of seminars on diverse aspects of yogic life.
Satyam has practiced yoga and meditation on a daily basis for 29 years and taught yoga for 24 years. Satyam is a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance of North America, and was featured on an NBC-4 TV interview with Washington news anchor Wendy Rieger. Satyam holds an undergraduate degree (B.A.) in philosophy as well as a professional degree (M.S. Ed.) in Educational Leadership & Community Education.
Holly Dunbar has practiced Massage Therapy since 1994, and herbal medicine since 2000. She is the owner and a practitioner of New Moon Bodywork & Botanicals, a holistic health practice specializing in massage therapy, herbal medicine, aromatherapy and natural skin care.
She is a graduate of Baltimore School of Massage and East West Herb School, and has trained extensively in advanced techniques in massage and bodywork, herbs, and essential oils. She is the creator of the New Moon natural product line, which retails at her office in La Plata, MD and online.
All retreats and workshops are currently held at South Hatton in Newburg, MD. Unless noted, they are held rain or shine (unless a rain date is noted). There are no refunds once purchased but you can transfer it to a friend. If the minimum participants is not reached, the workshop will be cancelled at least a week in advance and you will be refunded in full. Once the maximum is reached, then the event will be removed from the page for purchase. After purchase, you will receive details including street address and a pre-retreat questionnaire so we can tailor the experience to the participants and get food and other preferences. We welcome any questions you may have before or after purchase.
