This half-day retreat taught by Satyam of Renaissance Yoga, is ideal for both those looking to begin a yoga practice and more seasoned practitioners. We will engage in a comprehensive yoga session that is approachable for people of all levels. Learn the fundamentals as well as ways to refine your practice. We will also investigate therapeutic yogic techniques that are personalized to your needs.
Moreover, yoga is so much more than physical movement. A focus will be placed on proper breathing – i.e. the yogic science of svarashastra. Experience how the breath alone can minimize and eliminate stress, and wholly transform the mind. We will then delve deeper into meditative techniques and foundational philosophical principles. Unique to this session is that there will be scope to pursue specialty interests of your choice like daily health tips, nutrition, basic Sanskrit, fasting, and more.
This three-hour session will provide you with practical tools and a pathway towards (a) better health, (b) a deeper understanding of yoga (on and off the mat), and (c) enriching your life with ancient tenets yogis realized ages ago.
Yoga will be on the lawn of South Hatton overlooking the Wicomico River. Snacks and drinks provided throughout the day. Lunch is not included but feel free to stay and enjoy your packed lunch on the grounds or venture to a local restaurant as a group. A separate half day retreat on Essential Oils will be held in the afternoon if you want to make it a full day.
